India is blessed by the almighty as major portion of the mighty Himalaya is in its territory . Himalaya has been a play ground for deities, sants and pilgrims from centuries together. Himalaya has become a playground for last about one century for adventure seekers also.
In addition Himalaya offers some great climbs of 6000 and 7000 meters of various grades.

We are specialized in organizing Climbing expeditions to these peaks. Our qualified and experienced team of Mountaineers helps in selection of peak and obtaining all necessary permissions from different agencies along with logistical and technical support.

Inclusions/Exclusions

COST INCLUDES:

  • Accommodation at Up North site at Naggar (Ghurdaur) on Day 1 with all meals.
  • Accommodation in Alpine tents (2 men/4 men) during the expedition with sleeping bags, fleece inners and trekking mats. (Separate toilet tent facility is provided) at base camp.
  • A variety of wholesome hygienic veg. /non veg. meals during the expedition.
  • Services of cook, kitchen helpers with the entire necessary kitchen items, utensils etc.
  • Technical equipment such as Climbing shoes, crampons, gaiters, Ice Axe, climbing ropes, ascenders, descenders, helmets, ice screws, rock pitons, carabiners, snow stakes and other technical equipment will be provided by Up North.
  • The services of two qualified Alpine Instructor.
  • The services of porters for assisting with load ferry and camp establishment.
  • Vehicular transportation as per the Itinerary.
  • Insurance of technical staff and camp staff (Members to obtain their own insurance).
  • First aid kit with oxygen cylinders.

 

COST DOES NOT INCLUDE:

The Expedition costs exclude the following:

  • Any accidental, emergency, travel or medical insurance for the climbing party.

*** It is strongly recommended that the participants to get themselves comprehensively insured before the expedition.

  • Any expenses of a personal nature.
  • Any and all evacuation charges (medical emergency or otherwise), or hospitalization or physicians consultation charges.
  • Your own insurance policy should also ideally, cover this.
  • Beverages or drinks of any sort, including soft drinks, alcoholic / non-alcoholic drinks or bottled / mineral water.
  • Any other services not specifically mentioned in the service inclusions.
  • Any charges for a manual or helicopter evacuation, in case of a medical emergency or the like.
  • Personal clothing such as: inner thermals, wind proof pants & coats, feather jacket, woolen cap, woolen hand gloves, water proof mittens, UV rays goggles and rucksack.

Any personal climbing gear or equipment, unless specified otherwise. It can be arranged on hire basis.

***NOTE:

  1. Kindly obtain permission for climbing the peak from IMF, New Delhi.
  2. If expedition ends before the scheduled dates the cost quoted will remain the same.

How to Reach

Up North base camp is located at Ghurdaur near the heritage village Naggar (23 km short of Manali on left bank).

By Air:
The Kullu- Manali Airport at Bhuntar is approximately 30 Kms. from the Up North base camp.


By Road:
The distance from Delhi to Naggar is around 540 Kms. There are overnight buses (semi deluxe, deluxe, air-conditioned and Volvo) from Delhi to Manali. You can de-board the bus at Patlikuhal from where you can get number of taxis or regular route buses.


By Train:
The nearest railway station which is well connected is Chandigarh/Ambala is approximately 8/9 hours drive.

(Cancellation request will only be accepted by email)

  • In case request for cancellation is received before 30 clear days or more in advance before the scheduled date of reporting, 80% of the advance taken will be refunded.
  • If the request for cancellation is received between 15 to 29 days, 50% of advance taken will be refunded.
  • No refund will be given, if the cancellation intimation is received less than 15 days before the reporting date.
